A 12-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after a suspected assault at Blessed Hugh Faringdon Roman Catholic School in Southcote today.

Boy Airlifted to Hospital After Serious School Assault

Emergency services swarmed the school on Fawley Road just after 1pm following reports a student needed urgent medical attention.

The youngster was flown by air ambulance to John Radcliffe Hospital with serious injuries but is now in a stable condition.

Police Launch Probe as Schools Officer Visits

Detectives are probing the incident amid fears the boy was attacked at school. Officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries.

The school’s dedicated officer also made a visit today to offer support to staff and pupils.

Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who has mobile phone footage that could help the investigation to get in touch immediately on 101.

“We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously,” a spokesman said. “We are in the early stages of a thorough inquiry and support will be provided to those affected at the school.”
