In a devastating incident, a man lost his life after being swept away by fast-flowing water from an overflowing brook onto a road in Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire. The incident occurred at approximately 10:40 BST, and despite the prompt response from West Mercia Police officers, the man was found dead at around 12:35.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of a local man in his 60s has been notified and is currently receiving support from officers.
