A body has been discovered in the search for 33-year-old Ricky, who was reported missing from Calne over the weekend, Wiltshire Police have confirmed.
Ricky was reported missing on Saturday afternoon, prompting an urgent search operation involving Wiltshire Police and Wiltshire Search and Rescue teams.
Tragically, a body was found just after 10am today (Monday 17 March) near Quemerford Road, Calne.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, officers have informed Ricky’s family, who are being supported by specially trained officers during this difficult time.
A police spokesperson said:
“Our thoughts remain with Ricky’s loved ones as they come to terms with this devastating news. We are providing them with all the support they need.”
The circumstances surrounding the death are not believed to be suspicious at this stage, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
