Human Remains Found in Mohammed Shah Subhani Murder Probe

Detectives hunting for Mohammed Shah Subhani have uncovered human remains in a Beaconsfield woodland, marking a grim breakthrough in the case. Shah’s family have been informed and are receiving support from family liaison officers.

Police Continue Intensive Search in Hedgerley Lane Area

Specialist officers and forensic experts are combing a vast, isolated area near Hedgerley Lane. Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, leading the investigation, said, “We have recovered Mohammed Shah Subhani’s remains. This devastating news is a heavy blow to Shah’s loved ones.”

He added, “Shah was loved by many and had everything to live for. We believe his killer(s) were confident the remains would never be found. This discovery is a vital step forward in the investigation.”

The terrain is tough, with officers building bridges and diverting water to continue their painstaking search. The area is hidden from casual sight, known only to locals, and spotted vehicles might raise alarm.

Key Suspect Vehicle Linked to Case

DCI McHugh revealed new details about a crucial lead: a black BMW X5 with cloned plates (YC67 MFY) was seen loitering near Hedgerley Lane shortly after Shah vanished on 7 May. The BMW had two occupants and was later recovered in Hounslow on 3 August.

He urged the public: “If you saw this car or anything suspicious around 7 May or afterwards, no detail is too small to share.”

Shah’s Last Movements and Suspect Vehicles

  • On 7 May, Shah visited Acton police station around 1:45pm and possibly collected two mobile phones and number plates, but not a sum of £3,800 as some believed.
  • He was seen on CCTV driving his white Audi Q3 in Hounslow at 3:17pm, heading to a business premises on Derby Road.
  • His car left the premises at 3:47pm without him inside. The vehicle was later found in Camden with ballistic damage unrelated to Shah’s death.
  • Another suspicious vehicle, a blue Range Rover Evoque on fake plates (MF13 AOT), was spotted near Derby Road at the same time and later went missing after heading to Ilford.

DCI McHugh stressed that those who know something must come forward. “There may be fear or misplaced loyalty, but silence only deepens the pain for Shah’s family.”

Arrests and Reward Offer

  • A series of arrests have been made, including men aged 19 to 25 and a 68-year-old woman, though many have been released under investigation or bailed pending inquiries.
  • Police continue to appeal for information, offering a £20,000 reward for tips that lead to a conviction.

Sister Pleads for Justice

“We kept our faith high and believed our beloved brother would return. It broke our hearts when we learned his body was found in an abandoned woodland 15 miles from home,” Shah’s sister Quirat said.

“Someone maliciously killed the apple of our eye, dumped him where he couldn’t be found to rot. This will haunt us forever. Someone out there knows something – they must come forward and help us get justice.”
