Blazing Car Chaos Hits Stoke Gifford and Surrounds
At around 1:30am on Sunday, April 3, emergency services scrambled after reports of a vehicle fire on New Road, Stoke Gifford. But this was just the start of a fiery rampage across the area.
Up to 20 Cars Torched in Multiple Locations
By 5:30am, the situation escalated with up to 20 vehicles set ablaze across Bradley Stoke, Little Stoke, and Stoke Gifford. The devastation spread fast, with a major flare-up around 3:45am at the Rolls Royce car park in Filton, where approximately 20 cars were damaged.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
“Residents may have heard some of the vehicles’ fuel tanks exploding. Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries or damage to buildings,” said Avon & Somerset Police.
“We’re working closely with the fire and rescue service to tackle these incidents. Officers are conducting house-to-house enquiries and a thorough investigation alongside Avon Fire & Rescue Service.
“At this early stage, the damage makes it hard to identify vehicles and notify owners. We want to hear from anyone whose vehicle has been affected, as well as anyone with info or dashcam, CCTV, or other footage that could help our investigation.
If you can help, please call 101 quoting reference Log 124 of Sunday 3 April, or fill out the online appeals form. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their online form.”
Fire Services Battle Intense Blazes
