Rampion Wind Farm to Slash Turbines from 116 to 90

The owners of the Rampion wind farm off the West Sussex coast have revealed plans for 90 new turbines – down from the original 116. The revamped project, Rampion Two, aims to generate enough green energy to power over one million homes.

Public Gets Another Chance to Have Their Say

After postponing events last year, public consultations will now take place in Ashurst, Arundel, Climping, and Washington. Locals can learn about the updated plans and share their views.

Temporary Disruption Expected During Cable Installation

Chris Tomlinson, Rampion 2’s development and stakeholder manager, reassured residents: “The electricity cable installation from the wind farm to the new substation will cause only temporary disruption during construction, as all cables will be buried underground.”
