The first picture of the World War II bomb that led to the suspension of all London-Paris Eurostar trains has been released, offering a glimpse of the 300kg explosive device discovered during railway maintenance.

The bomb was uncovered overnight during railway works in France, prompting SNCF—France’s National Rail operator—to halt all train services near Paris Gare du Nord on 7 March 2025. Eurostar subsequently suspended all services between London and Paris, affecting thousands of passengers.
