An ambulance rushed one person to St Mary’s Hospital following a morning crash in the village of Brighstone, Isle of Wight. Emergency services were scrambled to Military Road just after 9.30am on Tuesday after a collision involving two vehicles.

The crash happened near the junction with New Road, where an Island Roads maintenance van smashed into a red KIA. One victim suffered minor injuries and whiplash and was hospitalised in Newport for treatment.
Fire Crews Make Scene Safe as Road Closes Briefly
Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue teams from Newport and Freshwater quickly arrived to secure the scene and ensure no further danger. The road was closed temporarily, but one lane remains blocked as vehicle recovery is ongoing.
Second Driver Walks Away with Minor Injuries
The driver of the second vehicle escaped with only minor injuries and was able to drive away from the scene.
