Tragedy on A259: 82-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Bexhill Crash

Fatal Collision Near Custom Café

An 82-year-old man has died after being hit by a car on the A259 Barnhorn Road, Bexhill. The crash happened at around 8:20pm on Saturday, 23 November, close to the Custom Café.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene where the elderly pedestrian, a local resident, was found critically injured. Despite desperate efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

The cause of the collision remains unclear as police launch a full investigation.

Police Launch Operation Alva

Sussex Police have started Operation Alva to crack the case. They are urgently appealing for witnesses who were near the scene to come forward. Officers want anyone who saw the collision or events leading up to it to get in touch.

Authorities are also calling for dash cam, mobile phone, or CCTV footage that could help piece together what happened.
