Blaze Erupts on Forklift in East Farleigh!

Forklift Fire Sparks Early Morning Alarm

Firefighters rushed to Heath Road in East Farleigh, Maidstone, after a forklift went up in flames just after 4am on Sunday. Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) quickly dispatched three fire engines to tackle the fierce agricultural vehicle blaze.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews blasted the fire with a high-pressure hose reel jet, bringing the blaze under control within an hour. The fire was fully extinguished by 5.24am, with no injuries reported.

Faulty Fuel Supply Blamed for the Fiery Ordeal

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was sparked by a faulty fuel supply on the forklift. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.

Emergency services are now urging all vehicle owners, especially those with farm machinery, to carry out regular checks to avoid similar fiery episodes.
