Man Charged with Arson After Huge Portsmouth Tower Blaze

A man has appeared before Portsmouth City magistrates following a massive fire that saw five people rushed to hospital. The blaze broke out just after 4am last Thursday on the 13th floor of 1 House in Quinton Close, Portsmouth.

Sixty Firefighters Battle Massive Tower Blaze

Over sixty firefighters were scrambled to tackle the inferno. The fire left three firefighters and two residents needing urgent hospital treatment.

Peter Arrandale Faces Serious Arson Charge

Peter Arrandale has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life, or reckless endangerment. He made no plea at a brief magistrates hearing on Saturday.

Arrandale was remanded in custody and is due to appear again on 28th October 2016.
