Cyclist Dies After Horror Crash with Taxi in Didcot

A 68-year-old Didcot man has died following a serious collision with a taxi in the early hours of Saturday, August 8.

Fatal Smash at Haydon Road and Lydalls Road Junction

Police say the cyclist was hit by a black Toyota Yaris taxi at around 12.25am at the busy junction of Haydon Road and Lydalls Road.

The victim suffered a severe head injury and was rushed to hospital but later died. Officers are supporting his grieving family.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

PC Lyndsey Blackaby from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this tragic incident to please come forward.”

“If you have CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the crash, please check it and contact us.”
