Locals quickly alerted Lewes District Council after spotting the hazardous fly-tipped bed. One resident shared on social media: “I’ve reported this fly-tipping to Lewes DC. I guess the perpetrators were trying to throw the whole bed over the fence but got disturbed and left bits along the Esplanade at the southern end of Sussex Way, Telscombe Cliffs. I hope they get caught and fined.”
