M4 Shuts Down in Berkshire After Massive HGV Crash
The westbound M4 in Berkshire is completely closed between Junction 13 and Junction 14 following a serious collision involving a Heavy Goods Vehicle. The lorry smashed through roadworks, leaving a huge oil spill blocking the carriageway.

Follow the ‘Hollow Squared’ Diversion
Motorists must follow the official diversion marked with “Hollow Squared” signs:
- Exit the M4 at Junction 13 and head south on the A34
- Exit the A34 at the A4 interchange
- At the roundabout, turn right and continue to the next roundabout
- Follow the A4 towards Hungerford
- Turn right at the A338 roundabout
- Follow the A338 back to the M4 Junction 14 to rejoin westbound traffic
