Budleigh Lions Club Hands Over Big Funds to Exmouth RNLI

The Budleigh Salterton Lions Club has once again shown their support for lifesaving efforts by donating a generous cheque to Exmouth RNLI. The donation was presented at their January 11 meeting held at the Dog & Donkey pub in Knowle.

£898 Raised at Brisk Christmas Day Swim

The funds came from this year’s Budleigh Salterton Christmas Day Swim collection, coordinated by the Lions. They pulled in a whopping £898.31, all aimed at bolstering the vital work of Exmouth RNLI lifeboat crews.

Gratitude From Both Sides

Lions Club President Richard Allen said, “It’s been another great pleasure for Budleigh Salterton Lions to raise funds for Exmouth RNLI at our Town’s 1 Swim. Huge thanks to our members and everyone who gave so generously.”

Des White, Chair of Exmouth RNLI’s Fundraising Team, added, “We’d like to express our grateful thanks to the Budleigh Salterton Lions Club. Their efforts raise vital cash for training and equipment essential for our brave volunteer crews.”
