Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Assault at Wickford Care Home
Tragedy at Longcroft Care Home
A man in his 60s has died following a serious assault at Longcroft care home on Swan Lane, Wickford. Police were called just before 7pm on Thursday, 2 July, after reports of the attack.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Paramedics tried desperately to save the victim, but he sadly passed away from his injuries.
Suspect in Custody
A 43-year-old local man has been charged with murder. He is set to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday 4 July.
