Heartfelt Charity Walk Set to Honour Laurence Wilson-Bradshaw
Family and friends of the late Laurence Wilson-Bradshaw are joining forces for the second annual “For the Love of Laurence” charity walk. The event, held in his memory, aims to raise crucial funds for Macmillan Cancer Support—a cause close to Laurence’s heart.
Tackling 22 Miles Along the River Wey
After last year’s huge success, participants are once again preparing to walk a scenic 22-mile route from Weybridge to Godalming along the River Wey Navigation. Scheduled for May 4, 2024, the event welcomes walkers of all ages and fitness levels. Some will take on the full stretch, while others will join in for shorter sections, ensuring everyone can get involved.
Supporting Macmillan Cancer Support in a Personal Cause
Macmillan Cancer Support was a lifeline for Laurence during his battle with cancer, providing vital emotional and practical help. Funds raised through the walk will go directly to this organisation, continuing to support those fighting cancer across the UK.
So far, £3,800 has been raised towards a £5,000 target, thanks to 143 generous supporters. The community’s determination to honour Laurence’s memory and help those impacted by cancer is powering this impressive fundraising effort.
