A cocaine dealer got caught after using a private hire taxi to shuttle drugs between customers. Ergys Rexha, 37, was caught red-handed in Yapton by police on patrol.
Quick Drop-Offs Didn’t Save Him
Officers spotted Rexha hopping out of the taxi to meet a customer. In less than a minute, he was back inside, ready to head to another buyer. But the Specialist Enforcement Unit was already on his tail.
Hidden Stash Found on Search
- Initial stop revealed 13 vials of cocaine tucked in a cigarette packet in his pocket.
- Later, a Custody search uncovered 12 more vials hidden in his underwear.
Chichester and Arun CID launched a full probe, charging Rexha with possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
Two Years Behind Bars
At Lewes Crown Court on 13 April, Rexha admitted the charges and was jailed for two years. The law caught up with this taxi-fuelled drug run – and justice was served.
