A massive crackdown in the Royal Borough has uncovered a secret stash of illegal tobacco, vapes, and cigarettes hidden in a shocking spot – behind a working kitchen, accessed through a false door beneath a sink.

- 154 pouches of hand-rolling tobacco
- 570 vapes
The illicit haul is estimated to be worth over £18,000 on the black market – but if sold legally, its retail value would exceed £30,000.
Council Sends Tough Warning to Illegal Traders
“This sends a clear message that the illegal sale of tobacco and vaping products will not be tolerated in our borough,” a council spokesperson said. “These activities pose serious health risks and undermine legitimate local businesses.”
The council pledged to keep working with police and trading standards to crack down on criminal activity and protect residents.
