M20 Coastbound Shut in Kent: Operation Stack in Full Swing
The M20 coastbound between junctions 8 and 9 is closed as Operation Stack kicks in. Heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) heading for Dover Port and Eurotunnel are now being ‘stacked’ along this stretch until conditions improve.
Light Vehicle Diversion in Place
Light vehicles should follow the Hollow Black Circle diversion route. At junction 8, non-HGV traffic must leave the M20, take the A20 coastbound via Harrietsham and Charing, and rejoin at junction 9.
Alternative Route: Consider the A2
Drivers heading towards Dover from further afield are advised to consider using the A2 to avoid delays.
