Fatal Crash Shuts A26

A 33-year-old biker has died after a collision on the A26 near Earwig Corner, Lewes. The smash happened yesterday afternoon at the junction of Uckfield Road and Ringmer Road, involving a motorbike and a car.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but sadly, the rider—a local man—was pronounced dead at the site. His next of kin have been informed.

Sussex Police are on the case, investigating the full circumstances behind the crash. A spokesperson urged anyone with dashcam, CCTV, mobile phone, or doorbell footage to come forward.
