Blaze Breaks Out on Roof of Pontins, Camber Sands
East Sussex firefighters raced to Pontins in Camber Sands after a roof fire broke out this afternoon. The emergency call came in at 15:19 on May 3rd, 2023.
Rapid Response from Multiple Fire Stations
Crews from Rye, Hastings, Eastbourne, and Bexhill scrambled to tackle the flames using a hose reel jet. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
Police and ambulance teams were also on site, lending vital support during the incident.
Fire Believed to Be Accidental, Situation Controlled
The East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) stated the blaze is thought to have started accidentally. The fire is now fully under control.
Authorities have handed over the scene to building control for further inspection.
