17-Year-Old Russel Burrdett-Deakin Missing Near Sutton Road
Russel Burrdett-Deakin, 17, vanished from his home near Sutton Road around 6.30pm on Wednesday, 6 September 2023. Since then, police have launched extensive searches across Maidstone, scouring areas near the River Medway, local parks, footpaths, and public transport routes.
Urgent Appeal to Maidstone Residents to Help Find Russel
Detective Chief Inspector Julia Pexton urged locals to keep their eyes peeled. “We have officers working around the clock alongside Kent Search and Rescue volunteers to find Russel safely,” she said. “He may be taking refuge in someone’s garden or outbuilding, so please spare a few minutes to check your property.”
What Russel Was Wearing and How He Looks Now
- Slim build, dark hair with blue streaks (may have dyed it black)
- Wearing red or maroon bottoms and a red Champion hooded top
- Carrying a black Under Armour rucksack
Visitors to busy spots like Mote Park and Whatman Park are asked to stay vigilant and report any sign of Russel.
Police Plea: Report Any Sightings Immediately
Detective Chief Inspector Pexton added: “Even if you think your sighting is unlikely to be Russel, please still report it. Every clue counts.”
