By 9am on April 12, the UK has completed a whopping 350,575 Covid tests. On April 11 alone, 18,000 swabs were taken as the nation ramps up its fight against the virus.

Out of 282,374 people tested, 84,279 have returned positive results. The virus continues to spread, keeping pressure on health services.

Tragically, as of 5pm on April 11, 10,621 hospital patients who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in the UK. A grim reminder of the battle still ahead.
