Door-knocker on the loose in Longham Copse! Early hours of Saturday, 18 February 2023, saw a shady suspect trying to sneak into homes in Downswood’s Longham Copse.
Suspect Targets Homes in the Dead of Night
The crook was spotted accessing rear gardens and fiddling with door handles, hoping to get inside. Luckily, they left empty-handed. Police are still hunting for clues and checking if other houses nearby have been hit.
Police Urge Residents to Check CCTV
PC Maddison Jarvis said: “The suspect is believed to have accessed rear gardens and tried several doors. We’ve done house-to-house enquiries, but there may be residents we haven’t spoken to yet. We’re desperate for anyone with security footage, especially between 1am and 2am, to come forward. Neighbours nearby might also have vital images.”
