A 27-year-old man from Hull has been jailed for attempting to rape a woman in her own home. Qudus Ajeyemi, of May Street, was found guilty at Hull Crown Court on 26 May 2026 after a week-long trial. The incident, which took place in a private residence where the victim should have felt safe, led to a prison sentence, a restraining order, and lifelong registration as a sex offender.

Harsh Prison Term

On 15 June 2026, Ajeyemi was sentenced to five years and six months in custody.

He is to be deported after completing his sentence.

Registered Sex Offender

Ajeyemi will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life, ensuring monitoring due to the severity of his crime.

Seven-year Restraining Order

The court issued a seven-year restraining order to protect the victim from any contact or harassment by Ajeyemi following his release.
