Thieves Hit St Mary’s Church, Snatch Priceless Religious Artefacts
St Mary’s Church in East Grinstead has been rocked by theft overnight. The church’s precious ‘big six’ candlesticks and Churchwarden staffs vanished between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Church Devastated as Sacred Items Vanish
Officials discovered the shocking robbery and are urging locals to help catch the culprits. A church spokesperson said, “Our church is open all day, offering holiness and peace. It’s heartbreaking that this trust has been abused. We pray the thieves repent and return the stolen items for God’s glory.”
Police and Church Call for Vigilance
Authorities have launched an investigation. Both police and church staff warn the public to stay alert. If anyone spots suspicious activity or is offered the stolen artefacts, they must report it immediately.
