Serious Collision on Sheppey Leaves Pedestrian with Life-Changing Injuries

A shocking crash near the Isle of Sheppey Holiday Village has left a pedestrian with life-altering injuries. The incident happened just after 6pm on Tuesday, December 6th, when a white SEAT struck a person crossing the road.

Road Closures Cause Chaos

Leysdown Road and Warden Bay Road were shut for hours as Kent Roads Policing investigators cordoned off the scene. Drivers stuck in the gridlock had to park their cars and trek across fields to get home.

Night of Intensive Investigations

Officers conducted skid tests and used specialist scanning equipment to capture images and measurements of the vehicle and accident site. A blue trainer and a chocolate milkshake bottle were found left in the road, hinting at the scene’s severity.

Kent Police Launching Appeal

Kent Police have confirmed they will issue a public appeal once they have informed all involved parties. The road closures are expected to remain in place into the early hours of Wednesday, as enquiries continue.
