Arson Attack Sparks Fear in Milton Keynes Family Home
Police are hunting a suspect after a terrifying arson attempt at a Milton Keynes home.
At around 3.20pm on Monday (12/10), a 29-year-old woman was inside her house on Temple, Stantonbury with two of her children when a mysterious man knocked on the door. When she questioned him, the stranger claimed he was at the wrong address and quickly left.
Loud Bang and Orange Smoke: Panic Erupts
Moments later, a loud bang echoed outside followed by a cloud of orange smoke. The woman grabbed her children and rushed into the garden. Neighbours jumped to help, trying to douse the flames before firefighters arrived.
Suspect Description and Police Appeal
- White man, about 5ft 5ins tall
- Average build with short, messy light brown hair
- Wearing a face mask
- Blue tracksuit bottoms with white stripes
- White jumper
Detective Inspector Jason Simpson urged witnesses to come forward. “This was a frightening experience for the family, who thankfully escaped unharmed,” he said.
“We’re especially keen to hear from a man who was with children at the time and helped put out the fire. He was wearing a green or black jacket.”
