Wildlife Rescue Slams Kids for Rough Treatment of Pigeon in Winchester
HART Wildlife Rescue has slammed a group of children for violently pushing and kicking a young feral pigeon towards a busy road in Winchester. The shocking behaviour was witnessed by a kind passerby who stepped in to stop the cruelty.
Quick-Thinking Bystander Saves Fledgling Bird
“Luckily a member of the public saw what was happening, intervened, and then called us for advice,” HART Wildlife Rescue revealed. Thanks to the timely rescue, the pigeon escaped any serious injury.
Pigeon Gets Back on Its Feet
After receiving rehydration fluids, the bird was treated to a good meal. Soon, it will join other young feral pigeons in HART’s outdoor aviary, recovering safe and sound away from harm.
