Three men have been arrested after police discovered a suspected cannabis farm containing hundreds of plants at a property in Swindon.

Wiltshire Police officers were called to Cheyney Manor Road at around 8pm on Wednesday following a report of a suspected cannabis factory.

Officers entered the property and discovered a large cannabis grow containing hundreds of plants.

Three men, aged 52, 42 and 36, were found inside the building.

The 52-year-old man was detained by officers, while police said the two other men jumped from a window.

Both suffered injuries, although these are not believed to be life-changing.

All three men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.

Police scene to remain over weekend

A police scene remains in place at the property while work is carried out to make the building safe and officers conduct further enquiries.

Wiltshire Police said the scene is expected to remain in place throughout the weekend as the investigation continues.
