Two Hampshire Police Officers Seriously Injured on M27 in Shocking Crash
Officers Hit While Responding to Crash
Two Hampshire Roads Policing officers are in hospital after being struck by a vehicle on the M27 this morning. The officers were attending a multi-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway when a second crash occurred on the eastbound side due to rubbernecking. While crossing the carriageway to investigate, both officers were hit by a moving vehicle.
Air Ambulances Rush to Scene
Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulances were scrambled to the scene. The helicopter medical team treated the officers for serious injuries before rushing them to hospital.
Police Launch Investigation and Close M27
An investigation has been launched into the incident. The M27 remains closed as emergency services work at the scene. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
