Christopher Rowland Seston, 49, of Swindon but now residing in Sandhurst, Bracknell Forest, appeared in Salisbury Crown Court today (16/06) for sentencing.
He had previously admitted to two counts of sexual activity with a child and four counts of taking derogatory photographs of a child.
Seston was arrested in February 2021 after police received information about obscene images being uploaded to the internet and linked to email addresses he used.
His devices were seized, but during the course of the investigation, police discovered additional evidence that he had taken indecent images and committed sexual offences against a child.
He was sentenced to four years in prison and was given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
This was a disturbing case where our initial enquiries into the uploading of indecent images of children led to us uncovering the fact that Seston had also been sexually abusing a child,” said Detective Constable Jason Walsh of Wiltshire Police’s Child Internet Exploitation Team.
I’d like to pay tribute to the young victim in this case who bravely spoke out about what happened to her and whose evidence led to Seston being convicted and sentenced for his crime.
