Driver Dies following Fatal head on Collision in Alton
Police are investigating following a fatal collision in Harley Mauditt, near Alton, last night. Officers were called to reports of a two vehicle collision on Hartley Lane, at 4.40pm yesterday (Monday, October 24). The silver Vauxhall Corsa and the Peugeot Boxer van were travelling in opposite directions when they collided head-on. Sadly, the driver of the Corsa, a 40-year-old man from Reading, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van and his passenger suffered minor injuries and were both taken to North Hampshire Hospital as a precaution. Next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by our officers.
