Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) responded to a flat fire early this morning in Ebbsfleet Walk, Northfleet, Gravesend. The incident, reported at 4:04 am on Sunday, 29 September, saw three fire engines deployed to the scene, along with KFRS’ Volunteer Response Team and support from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
Fire crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used high-pressure hose reel jets to tackle the flames, successfully bringing the fire under control by 6:15 am. The Volunteer Response Team also assisted during the incident.
One person was treated at the scene by SECAmb paramedics and is believed to have sustained no serious injuries. The fire is thought to have been accidental in nature.
Authorities have thanked residents for their cooperation during the incident and reminded everyone of the importance of fire safety in residential areas. The quick response by KFRS ensured the fire was contained without spreading to nearby properties.
