Police were called at 07:30 on Wednesday, 11 December, to reports of an unresponsive man at St German’s Place in southeast London.

Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service responded to the scene and administered first aid to the man, who was in his 20s. Tragically, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at 08:30.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify and notify his next of kin. While the death is being treated as unexpected, police have stated it is not considered suspicious.

A file will be prepared for the coroner to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

St German’s Place remains open, and there is no wider risk to the public. Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist with their enquiries.

This is a developing story, and updates will follow as more information becomes available.
