A man is in serious condition after being stabbed in Margate town centre on Friday, December 13, 2024.
The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 PM on Cowper Road near a local convenience store. Emergency services, including officers from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene.
The victim was airlifted to a London hospital, where he remains in serious condition after sustaining injuries consistent with stab wounds, police said.
Arrests Made
A 32-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the assault. Both are currently in custody as the investigation continues.
Police Investigation
Kent Police have cordoned off part of Cowper Road while forensic teams examine the scene. Officers are urging anyone with information or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said:
“This was a serious incident, and we are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has relevant information that could aid the investigation.”
