Woman Stabbed to Death in Battersea Horror
A woman was tragically stabbed to death just after midday today at a home on Grayshott Road, Battersea SW11. Emergency services, including the London Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene but could not save her. She was pronounced dead at around 1:41pm.
Man Arrested on Murder Charges
Police arrested a 40-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of murder. A heavy police cordon remains in place as the investigation continues. The Homicide and Major Crime Command have taken over the case.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said the stabbing was reported at 12:38pm on Wednesday, 15 August. The victim, believed to be a woman in her 30s, has not yet been formally identified, and her next of kin have not been informed.
Officers say they are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. However, they urge anyone with information to come forward immediately.
