Teen Arrested in Jodie Chesney Murder Probe

Detectives hunting for Jodie Chesney’s killer have made a breakthrough. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Friday, March 22, on suspicion of murder.

The suspect was taken into custody at an east London police station and remains held. Police were first called to a stabbing in a park near St Neot’s Road, Harold Hill, on the evening of March 1.

Tragic Stabbing in Harold Hill Park

At 9.25pm, London Ambulance Service reported the stabbing. Officers arrived to find Jodie Chesney suffering from a fatal stab wound. She was declared dead at 10.26pm.

Ongoing Murder Investigation

A post-mortem at East Ham Mortuary confirmed Jodie died from trauma and haemorrhage. The Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) launched a full murder investigation which is ongoing.
