Runner Slapped Then Beaten in Shocking Scooter Attack
On Friday, 25 March, between 5.50pm and 6.10pm, a 33-year-old man was out jogging in Brighton Hill when trouble struck.
Teens on E-Scooters Launch Brutal Assault
The victim was on the footpath from Asda to the underpass under the A30 near Homebase when a teenage boy, about 16 or 17, rode past on an e-scooter and slapped him across the face. When the jogger chased after him, two more youths on e-scooters appeared.
The trio caught up with the runner and launched a vicious attack. He was punched repeatedly and hit with what’s believed to be a walking stick or similar weapon. During the assault, one teen hurled racial abuse at the victim.
Victim Left Bruised as Thugs Flee the Scene
All three attackers fled in the direction of Asda. The victim suffered bruises to his head, arms, legs, and shoulders.
