Motorbike Crash at Chawton Roundabout Sparks Police Hunt for Witnesses
Hampshire police are on the lookout for witnesses after a motorbike crash near Alton’s Chawton roundabout on Sunday, 30 June. Around 12.35pm, five motorbikes circled the A31 roundabout when things went wrong.
Skid on the Verge Leaves Rider Seriously Injured
A black Mazda joined the roundabout from Chawton Village during the incident. Although no collision occurred, one motorbike skidded off onto the grass verge before ending up on the A32 approach. The 37-year-old rider suffered serious leg injuries.
Police Want Witnesses to Speak Up
PC Chris Dawes said: “We know that another vehicle stopped at the scene at the time but had left before police arrived. We believe this person would have witnessed what happened, so if this was you please give us a call.”
