A 44-year-old woman has been found dead at her Swindon home, sending shockwaves through the local community. Kerrie Horwat was discovered at a property on Ferndale Road on Saturday afternoon after emergency services were called over welfare concerns.
Police Confirm No Suspicion in Woman’s Death
Wiltshire Police arrived at the scene around 3:25pm on 11 April. A spokesperson said: “A 44-year-old woman was sadly found deceased in the property. This is not being treated as suspicious.” The force extended their condolences to Kerrie’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Emergency Services Responded Quickly
The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust confirmed they were alerted just before 12:40pm on Saturday and sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue also assisted, with crews called out at 2:17pm. A spokesperson said: “A crew and the aerial ladder platform from Swindon attended, and our stop was at 3:29pm.”
