Man Stabbed to Death in South Hampstead – Police Hunt Witnesses
Detectives are urgently appealing for witnesses after a deadly stabbing in South Hampstead. Around 11.45pm on Thursday, 25 July, police were called to Ainsworth House, Boundary Road, NW8, where two men, aged 20 and 22, were found with stab wounds.
The younger man was rushed to hospital but tragically died at 12.37am. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support. A post-mortem confirmed he died from a stab wound to the chest.
Youth Seriously Injured but Survives
The 22-year-old victim remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. He is expected to survive.
Earlier Brawl May Be Linked to Killing
Detectives believe the fatal stabbing is connected to an earlier fight at South Hampstead Rail Station, Loudon Road, just five hours prior. At about 5pm on the same day, several men got into a brawl at the station entrance. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported then.
Police are urging anyone who saw the events or has information to come forward immediately.
