Tragic Scooter Crash in Feltham Claims Teen’s Life
Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal scooter crash in Feltham. The smash happened around 7.05pm on Saturday, 10 August, on Bedfont Lane near Glebelands Road.
14-Year-Old Passenger Dies at Scene
A 14-year-old boy, who was a passenger on the scooter, died instantly. Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene but could not save him.
Police confirm no other vehicles were involved. Next of kin have been informed and formal ID has taken place. A post-mortem will follow.
17-Year-Old Scooter Driver Arrested
The scooter rider, aged 17, fled the scene with the vehicle but later showed up at a west London hospital for treatment. After being discharged, he was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He’s been bailed until early September while police continue their probe.
Helmetless Teens Raise Serious Questions
Neither boy was wearing a crash helmet at the time. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is calling for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or phone footage to come forward on 0208 543 5157.
