Knightsbridge Stabbing: Police Hunt Two Men After Student Mohammed Al Araimi Killed

Detectives are on the hunt for two men linked to the deadly stabbing of 20-year-old Mohammed Abdullah Al Araimi in Knightsbridge. Mohammed, an Omani national and Kings College politics and economics student, was fatally attacked on Brompton Road just after midnight on Friday, 6 December.

Suspects Spotted Leaving Scene on Foot

Police have released descriptions of the suspects they want to trace:

  • Suspect 1: Asian male, late 20s to early 30s, around 5ft 10ins, medium build, black hair, full beard. He wore a dark hat, blue top, dark trousers, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 2: Black male, 20s, 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, medium build, black hair, thin beard. He wore a green hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge, leading the investigation, said: “We know Mohammed and his friend were walking home from a restaurant when these two men approached and assaulted them at the junction of Basil Street and Pavilion Road. The suspects then fled on foot towards Sloane Street.”

Robbery Motive, But Nothing Stolen

DCI Partridge added: “We believe this was a robbery attempt, but nothing was taken. We urge anyone with details to come forward. An innocent man has lost his life needlessly.”

Mohammed’s family is shattered by the tragedy. His brother, Raid Al Araimi, joined police in the public appeal: “Mohammed just went out for a meal with a friend and never came home. If you know who did this, please tell the police. Don’t let any other family suffer like us.”
