Mystery Death on Cellardyke Beach Sparks Police Hunt
Unidentified Man Found Dead on Boxing Day
A man was found dead at Cellardyke Harbour beach at around 8.30am on Monday, 26 December 2022. Emergency crews rushed to the scene but sadly pronounced him dead there and then.
Police Treat Death as Unexplained
Authorities have launched an unexplained death investigation. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course as detectives scramble to piece together what happened.
Distinctive Clothes Could Hold Key
The victim is described as about 6ft tall, slim to medium build, with short dark hair and a goatee beard or stubble. He was last seen wearing a distinctive blue T-shirt, jeans, and white trainers.
Detectives Plead for Public Help
“Our enquiries so far have not been able to identify the man,” said Detective Inspector Stuart Hunter. “I urge anyone who can identify him or who saw him in the area to contact us immediately.”
