Thieves Rip Off Thousands in Bold Lorry Raids Near Ipswich

Police in Suffolk are hunting a gang after crooks stole thousands of pounds worth of goods from two lorries parked near the Orwell Bridge outside Ipswich.

Early Morning Heist at Shell Garage Lorry Park

Officers rushed to a lorry park by the Shell garage on the westbound A14 last Thursday (23 January) after thieves slashed a lorry tyre and made off with ten pallets of electrical equipment.

Police say four men jumped out of a black BMW at 1.40am, quickly loaded the loot into a white van, then sped off.

Second Raid Hits Anglers’ Gear on Eastbound A14

Not far away, a lorry parked overnight in a layby on the eastbound A14 between Whitehouse and Sproughton was targeted.

The driver left his vehicle around 7.20pm on 22 January, only to find seven pallets of mostly angling equipment missing the next morning at 8.10am.

Police Seek Dashcam Footage and Witnesses

Authorities want anyone who saw a black BMW and white van driving together along the A14 on the night of 22 January to come forward.
