Met Police Officer Michael Warren Dies Aged 37
Tragic news from the Met as PC Michael Warren, 37, has died. The officer served with the Territorial Support Group (TSG) and lost his life on Tuesday morning, 19 January.
Dedicated Officer Who Never Gave Up
PC Warren joined the Met in February 2005 and held various policing roles throughout his career. For the past four years, he was a valued TSG officer based in the North East Area.
During the pandemic, classed as vulnerable, Warren shielded at home. But he still supported his team every day by logging on remotely to help however he could.
Heartfelt Tributes from the Met
He is survived by his parents, Pauline and Alan, partner Vicky, and two children, Eden (8) and Joseph (5).
“Mike was a lovely, genuine and hard-working police officer. To lose him at just 37 is truly heart-breaking,” said Met Taskforce Chief Superintendent Karen Findlay.
“He was a devoted father, a friend to many colleagues, and the heart and soul of the TSG teams. Mike loved Spurs and motorbikes. His passion for policing never faded, even while shielding.
“He regularly went above and beyond to support his colleagues remotely and was eager to return to frontline duty. His death is a bitter reminder of Covid’s human cost — we will all miss him dearly.”
PC Michael Warren’s untimely passing leaves a void in the Met family and the communities he served with dedication and heart.
