A massive search blitz rocked Hastings overnight as UK Coastguard teams joined forces with Sussex Police to track down a missing person.

The vast search area meant backup was called in from Coastguard crews in Bexhill and Rye Bay. The Rescue 175 helicopter also swooped in to aid the mission in the early hours of Monday.
No Sign of Missing Person After Thorough Seafront Sweep
Despite scouring Hastings seafront and nearby spots, rescue teams found no sign of anyone missing. The extensive search was called off just after 5.30am Monday morning.
