Tragic Blaze in Redruth Claims 83-Year-Old Woman’s Life

A deadly fire broke out at a home on North Street, Redruth, at around 9.35pm on Friday, March 26.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue arrived to find thick black smoke billowing from the property. Tragically, an 83-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed.

Investigation Underway but No Suspicion

Police say the fire is not currently being treated as suspicious. Officers are continuing their inquiries and will prepare a report for the coroner.
